Convoy of Hope is sending the Disaster Services team to Fiji after Cyclone Winston caused major destruction and killed residents in the Pacific Island nation. The storm is the strongest cyclone on record in the Southern Hemisphere.
“We are sending a team to assist our in-country partners,” says Kary Kingsland, Senior Vice President. “We will identify the hardest-hit areas and ensure that no communities are overlooked.”
It is reported that 80% of the population is currently without power and families have been left without shelter, food and emergency relief supplies.
