Convoy of Hope has a Disaster Response team en route to Sri Lanka, a tiny island nation south of India in the Indian Ocean. Dozens of lives have been lost and hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced following the huge storm that triggered landslides and flooding.
“It’s a desperate situation,” says Chris Dudley, Disaster Services Response Director. “But we have partners on the ground who’ve already started distributing dry ration packs to families in need.”
We will distribute Sawyer Water Filters and LuminAID solar lights, and we will work with our partners in assisting residents.
