Convoy of Hope Supplies Partners Assisting Afghan Refugees

Convoy of Hope continues to help refugees from Afghanistan. Millions of people had their lives upended when the Taliban took control of the war-torn country on August 14.
An estimated 3.5 million Afghans are internally displaced within the country. This year alone, more than 550,000 people were forced to flee their homes due to fighting, according to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Cities across America have welcomed Afghan refugees, trying to provide safety and soften a devastating blow. Convoy of Hope has come alongside some of these communities to offer critical supplies like food and water.
Convoy of Hope has sent tractor-trailer loads of resources to locations around the U.S. where refugees are located. In Sacramento, California, your generosity allowed Convoy of Hope to hand out nearly 3,000 pairs of socks, 450 pairs of shoes, and 5,000 bags of groceries to people in need — many of whom were Afghan refugees who landed in California.
In addition, Convoy of Hope is supplying churches across the U.S. with life-sustaining products for those who are hurting. Convoy is also continuing work with international partners in Central Asia, the Middle East, and throughout Europe to strategically serve people fleeing the country.

Convoy of Hope is currently responding to the Afghanistan crisis. Thousands of people are currently being evacuated on flights, and millions more continue to reside in a nation which is now governed by the Taliban.
