Disaster Update: 90+ Convoy of Hope Program Centers Damaged

Reported by Convoy of Hope

November 12, 2020 | 5:15 p.m.

Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, Convoy of Hope is responding to several catastrophic storms in Asia and Central America. Our hearts are broken for the nearly 15,000 families that we regularly serve, as their homes have been severely damaged by these storms.

In addition to the homes of people we serve, more than 90 Convoy of Hope program centers in Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and the Philippines have sustained damage or total loss.

Much is still unknown about the situation in some areas of the Philippines that were just hit by Typhoon Vamco — the third typhoon to hit the country in recent weeks. Incoming reports are stating that many of the farmers we train in Nicaragua have lost their crops.

You can find more information about each of these disaster responses in the links below.

These families and many more urgently need your support. You can join Convoy of Hope by giving to help these people here.

Convoy of Hope team members in the Philippines are distributing relief supplies to survivors of Typhoon Goni.
