European cities are drivers of economic development, growth and innovation. However, despite their prosperity, they are frequently centers of poverty and social exclusion. Certain urban areas suffer from high levels of unemployment, low academic achievement, long-term welfare dependency, poor health, poor housing conditions and low quality public facilities.
Convoy of Hope Europe (COHEU) invites churches and other local organizations to become a driving force for change in their cities. The COHEU community events are one way of doing this. With the help of volunteers, free groceries, job and health fairs and activities for children are provided to thousands of guests in a one-day festival.
Unconditional love and acceptance is shown to each guest without regard to age, race, creed or physical appearance. The goal at every COHEU event is to let all recipients know that they are valued and respected.
