Providing people with clean and safe drinking water represents the largest global challenge of the 21st century. Access to improved water and sanitation are generally the first steps towards sustainable communities and the end of poverty and illiteracy.

Convoy of Hope Europe has two water projects, in Sudan and Somaliland, building household bio-sand water filters. Each filter will provide clean water to a family of 20 for the next 10-15 yrs. It is easy to maintain by the owners and does not require any replacement parts.
